Well. I logged onto livejournal again. This is probably your warning to unfriend me, most people. I loved Stargate Atlantis and One Piece will forever hold a dear place in my heart... (and many of the people involved there are staying friended so I can stalk them creepily because I still have lingering hero worship going on) but I'm a slut for a new fandom now.

Yes, I have fallen for Star Trek: IX. I have fallen for its characters, writers, fandom, and even its rps. The fans are awesome, the fic is good and the crack that is ontd_startrek party posts amuses me greatly even as it lags my computer.

My posts will likely still be rare, as fic writing scares me and stresses me out endlessly, but if I do it'll probably be about Star Trek. Or possibly my increasingly dreaded job search. I'm also not sure how long this is going to last because I go through fandoms quicker and quicker these days. (I mean, my interest in Ironman slashed with Captain America, Wolverine, or Spiderman lasted like... 3 days! Probably because there wasn't much fic. But if anyone wants to write some Ironman/Wolverine let me know; I'd be all over that shit.)

But I hope to at least contribute some podfic. *nods*

Tons of apologies to all those people I abandoned in One Piece so long ago, especially if I owed you some kind of fic. If you happen to still remember that I owe you something and feel betrayed by my desertion I am willing to offer myself up to record a podfic of anything under 5,000 words (? or so? 7k?) for you.

I'd record for:
Star Trek (including rps), One Piece, SGA (including rps), and a variety of older fandoms including FMA, Weiss Kruez, Gundam Wing, FFVII and VIII, Sentinel and other things if you don't mind me being unfamiliar with the source material or want to ask.

First 2 people I DON'T owe anything to, I hereby put forth the same offer. Ask me to podfic something under 5k words if you want to, being accepting of the fact that I am fairly new to this. But I do have a nice microphone and a half decent Pacific Northwestern voice.

Because Christmas is supposed to be about joy. The future is an adventure! Come on!

IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN. Time for me to try and motivate myself to get my ideas down on paper by writing out YOUR ideas. I don't know why it seems logical either, but it does. Writing practice is writing practice, right?

So. End of summer, followed by moving up to college, followed by starting classes, followed by getting sick and having my body demand way more sleep than I can conveniently give it all added up to/piled on top of writer's block. So I've been... absent lately. However, I finally managed to push through and finish some stuff I owe from forever ago and a few one random thing that... you just get. Because. ^^

Let's start with a fake cut. I wanted it in it's own entry so I could easily edit and/or link to it later. But in the fine tradition of _paperpencil's humorous take on Ace/Smoker/Zoro/Sanji and the sequel in which she requested Ace and Smoker's follow-up thoughts, ecphrastic has now asked for Zoro and Sanji's conversation following the first foursome attempt. So. I let one random idea spin off into a drabble which I'm not going to post anywhere else because after writing it I felt disgusted with the "omg I feel sad let's think about my feelings"ness of it all. Yet I also wanted to post it because I wrote it. ALSO also, I figured that if I throw it together with some other cuteness perhaps it can spread a bit of cheer into an flist that seems discouraged and/or exhausted recently. ♥ to you all.

Summery:  First you must read this: _paperpencil wrote an Ace/Sanji/Smoker/Zoro foursome for me OMG!   Because this ficlet is a direct sequel.  She asked for: “a short drabble thing of Smoker and Ace discussing Zoro and Sanji after their first orgy session has ended”.  Sorry for the fact that it’s been forever and this only half qualifies, dear.  ^^;;

So after writing the first draft of this I re-read it and realized Smoker is horribly, terribly, painfully out of character.  I attempted to fix this, but Smoker refused to cooperate and I was too weak-willed to make him.  I have a soft spot for snarky perverts even though SMOKER’S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE ONE.  At least not overtly.

For your general suffering ‘cause this is like something straight out of the Pit of Voles and I am ashamed amusement, here is a sample dialogue of my attempt to reign him in (‘cause it’s my journal and I’ll ramble meaninglessly and psychotically on if I want to):

I think I now need to go read my entire SmoAce fanfic folder to get back in the flow of the grumpty dominant marine captain we all know and love.  This bastard imposter is obviously not cutting it.

Last note: Last week's topic on onepieceyaoi100 has totally gotten "Rock the Boat" by The Hues Corporation stuck in my head.  I couldn't think of a worthwhile reason for anyone on the crew to sing it though.  You are all tremendously lucky.

There's also a really really long meme I ganked from ecphrastic. (Even though these are great, it's interesting how even the most cracked-out pairings seem mildly plausible just because it's One Piece Fandom; we like our pairings crazy and involving as many people as possible. XD)

It has been a very good couple of days.

I got to go down to the ocean with my mother and grandmother and managed to read both a book and a half and two large fanfiction epics I'd been meaning to get to (plus random what-not). 

And try to fly a ridiculously large trainer-kite for kiteboarding.

Times kite went up, swooped slowly left and crashed: ~15ish

Obviously I need to find someone with some experience and beg for a lesson.

I also had a job interview today that I was terrified about but went very well.  It was with a temp agency and I am now employed with them and they already have two jobs they're sending my resume to.  I'd kill for this clerical position less than half an hour from my house that pays 15 DOLLARS AN HOUR.  I was told my computer test scores were "impressive" so I hope I get a call... *will go around with her fingers crossed for the next few days*

Plus I got a reply to the giant fangirl!squeeing email I wrote to genuinelies after reading her epic New Life.  She was very thankful and excited; I apparently helped greatly with a very bad day (week?/something-or-other).  She said she both saved and printed the email and said that stuff like this keeps her writing... I jumped and squeeled.  It made my day.  *grins* 

But now my house is 78 degress in WASHINGTON (where air might as well be water at times) and I think it's time to find someplace cool to go hide.

In other news I'm slowly but painfully adjusting to 56k as I come down from the college year (I MISS MY SUPER-COOL-FASTER-THAN-FAST INTERNET CONNECTION... luckily I stockpiled anime).  Unpacking has been hellish as well as is frantically applying for summer jobs.  Confrontation is not my thing... interviews are scary.  -_-

Lastly... Sanji apparently is a weepy sobbing uke.  I still don't believe this but if you click the first link under One Piece on this site and then look though the doujinshi samples you can find him being topped by everyone from Luffy to Robin and overall looking utterly rapeable molestable.  He's all flushed and sweaty and built like a stick... he's not the Sanji I know and love... but he is really hot... and really flexable  *drools*  I must find myself some OP doujinshi at my next con.

Also makes me regret not continuing in Japanese 'cause I wish my kanji skills were good enough to get a real sense of what is going on... not that most of it isn't "aaaah!" repeated over and over.  XD

Today my finals finished and I celebrated by spending most of the day doing absolutely nothing productive.  Even though I promised myself I'd write more on one of my recent ideas.  Instead I did writing research by reading.  A lot.

I eventually wandered out of the One Piece fandom and into Naruto.  Suddenly I remember why I love this series and what beautiful writing it can contain at times.  Random linkage:

I found an awesome Neji/Naruto series/collection of one-shots.  I've never been into this pairing I stumbled across the second link and it was too good not to pursue the rest of the stories.  The whole thing was just so amazingly touching.  There is a prequel here that is gorgeous and does such a good job with the risks of being a ninja as well as the loving respect of partnership.  And a technical prequel here covering how the relationship was established.  Just go read.

I also found ridiculously hilarious Bleach crack.  Are you looking for more Reasons to Love Bleach?  If you're a fan or would like to laugh uproarously at those of us who are, go here.  And laugh.  A lot.  It covers some really excellent reasons to love any anime.  From incest possibilities to femmeslash possibilities to lycanthropy.  *nods*  If you loved that and can't get enough the other part of it is here.  The description of Byakuya is priceless and anything that offers: "Solve your contradictory OTP problems today! Turn it into a threesome!"  as a solution to fandom problems just WINS.

Gah! I made this journal to write and get involved in fanfiction but... I just haven't gotten more than ideas scribbled out so I don't have any real fic to post.  It's frustrating to have so many ideas and be nervous to start any of them 'cause you know you'll screw them up.

Sorry to anyone who followed this here from some comment I made expecting to find something interesting.  I'll work on it.  I promise.

I really love commenting on what I read but I'd be nice to really get involved in these communities and start writing too. *le sigh*  Stupid One Piece. I think about my bleach ideas... then watch Once Piece instead... then go read fanfiction.  Partially 'cause I want to get a good grasp on Zoro/Sanji so I can start writing them with any confidence. Such an interesting dynamic...

Anyway, I'm hoping if I post a shitty piece of writing I did the other day I'll feel motivated to write more and post it in a frantic attempt to redeam myself in the eyes of random internet users.  Yes, I will lower myself to an attempt at manipulating myself psychologically.  Plus, then this entry will have content other than an explaination of why this entry doesn't have any content.

So here's a random free-write kinda thing that started with the ideas that Ichigo would be totally angry at Renji kissing him the first time, and Renji not being as stupidly impulsive as he seems.  Renji ends up OOC.  I am aware of this but I'm just going to take note of where I went wrong and try to fix it next time.  For  now I'm gonna leave it alone because this  whole thing is written from Renji's POV so fixing him would mean writing a whole nother story.
